The training of the next generation of plastic surgeons is a central part of my professional mission.
Since November 1, 2025, I have served as Head of Training at the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery of the Medical
University of Innsbruck.
From 2013 to October 2025, I held the same position at Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in Nijmegen, the Netherlands — where I had the privilege of mentoring numerous now-established colleagues and was honoured as Teacher of the Year.

Teaching and guiding young physicians is one of the most rewarding aspects of my career.
Supporting them in becoming highly qualified, responsible specialists — and witnessing their professional growth — brings me great joy.

These initiatives promote global exchange and collaboration and contribute to international excellence in plastic surgery education.
Together with my team, I regularly organise national and international seminars on reconstructive and aesthetic surgery, including:
Our goal is to establish Innsbruck as a hub of continuous learning and surgical innovation in Central Europe.
Outstanding training ensures that patients in Austria and neighbouring regions will continue to have access
to high-quality, modern plastic surgery in the years to come.
The combination of academic precision, clinical expertise and innovative spirit is what defines the Innsbruck School — and the future of our field.
