As the new Director of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at the Medical University of Innsbruck and the Tirol Kliniken, I warmly welcome you.

My main clinical focus as Director lies in the reconstruction of complex defects following tumour treatment, trauma, or congenital anomalies – particularly in the areas of the breast, head and neck, extremities, and trunk.

A further focus of my work is aesthetic surgery, which I personally offer in my private practice located within the premises of the Medical University of Innsbruck / Tirol Kliniken.

My range of aesthetic procedures includes:

• Natural neck and facelift surgery (MACS, FAME, Deep Plane techniques)
• Eyelid and brow lift surgery
• Breast surgery (augmentation, reduction, lifting – using short scar techniques)
• Male chest correction
• Body contouring procedures (liposuction, abdominoplasty, arm and thigh lifts)

As a University Professor, I represent the field of Plastic Surgery in research and teaching at the Medical University of Innsbruck, ensuring that my work remains at the forefront of science and surgical innovation.

My main research areas include:

• 3D imaging and surgical planning
• Mixed Reality and Artificial Intelligence in Plastic Surgery
• Extracorporeal tissue perfusion in amputation and transplantation
• Quality of life after aesthetic surgery

In May 2026, I took office as President of the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS), the most prominent European professional society in our field.
This honour allows me to contribute to shaping the future of Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery on an international level.
